Hundreds of Brother printer models have an unpatchable security flaw

So what's the worst that can happen if a hacker got into my printer? My printers are all wired and my WiFi password is impossibly long.

This version now displays stl files. IIRC, it didn't do so before. Very hand for those of us that 3d print.

Republicans introduce last-minute industry ‘killer’ tax on solar and wind in spending
Posted by: special - 06-30-2025, 08:22 PM - Forum: 'Friendly' Political Ranting - Replies (5)

Business groups and clean-energy developers are apoplectic over a last-minute provision tucked into President Donald Trump’s spending bill that will tax the solar and wind industry, making it much harder to get new, cheap electricity onto the grid.

Senate Republicans revealed an entirely new tax for renewable energy this weekend, in the latest version of a bill that could be passed as early as Monday afternoon. The bill already stripped tax incentives for renewables by 2027 and gave developers stringent requirements to claim them.

Edits not sticking when replacing file
Posted by: Jerry_Registered - 06-30-2025, 07:38 PM - Forum: Tips and Deals - Replies (3)

First - why does copy/paste not work here?

Second - I've been running into an issue when I try to save things just to a document or Image. If I open a file from my desktop or a folder, then make edits and then try to save it in the same location with the same name I get a dialogue asking if I want to replace the existing file. I click "Replace" but later when I open the file again, none of my changes were saved-- it's still the old version. It's like the file isn't actually updating even though I told it to replace the original. Has anyone else experiences or know might be causing it? Thanks.

you know them little snap containers that berries and the like are sometimes sold in with the little socketed divots in the corners that supposed to lock but never do?

[Image: Kitchn-2021-Last-Thing-Strawberry-Container-1.jpg]

eggs sold at CostCo are in the same kind of container, except they work for as long as it takes to go thru 24 eggs, a while here.

I love not having half open containers of eggs.
