Went to see what was called "Classified Cinema" at my local theater.
A guy came down the aisle just before the movie started and yelled about how we were to turn off our phones, put them away, not to take them out during the movie, and definitely not to record, that he would not hesitate to confiscate our phones and pursue any violators with the full force of the law with felony charges and massive six figure fines.
"Enjoy the movie." - which was unveiled to be a sneak preview of Jurassic World Rebirth.
I've seen most of the Jurassic movies at some point or other, although I have not seen Fallen Kingdom at all and only seen parts of Jurassic Park III on TV.
I was entertained. There were several callback scenes referencing events in the other movies.
Scarlett Johanson's character seems written by a misogynist, a bizarrely peppy smuggler who has experienced great loss in her life recently and yet continues to bounce around like a teeny bopper.
I was relieved to see that the reason there was yet another child involved in a dangerous dinosaur island scenario WAS NOT yet another stowaway scenario.
I doubt this movie will be a critical success, but it will be a typical fun summer action blockbuster. It's a shame that Hollywood is out of ideas (or rather that the execs refuse to invest in and take risks on new IP) and has to recycle so much.
I look forward to hearing what you all think of it when it's released to the public in a couple days.

I watched F1 this weekend. It has lots of racing sequences, but the short review is it is 'Days of Thunder' with Brad Pitt replacing Tom Cruise, Kerry Condon replacing Nicole Kidman (Irish instead of Aussie). It's almost a shot-for-shot reshoot of Days of Thunder. Considering that Jerry Bruckheimer produced both, that's pretty shameless. It is entertaining, though pretty low-brow in my opinion.
