Firefox question - DP - 03-29-2012 Going to my email this AM I get this: ![]() I have FF 11.0 and it is Yahoo Edition 1.8. Knowing how some of you all feel about it should I click on it and update Flash? Re: Firefox question - decay - 03-29-2012 if you think you need the new Flash player, go straight to the Adobe site without clicking the link. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Re: Firefox question - LaserKun - 03-29-2012 What decay said - DO NOT click on email links. Re: Firefox question - decay - 03-29-2012 that might be a Yahoo site window... but still, i'd play it safe. Re: Firefox question - DP - 03-29-2012 OK, thanx. This is the first time I've seen this ever so I thought I'd check. It's on my email window not an email itself so I think it's from FF or Yahoo. Re: Firefox question - decay - 03-29-2012 check your Firefox plugin versions with this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ it will show green for up-to-date, orange/red for outdated, and gray for unknown. you can also look in your hard drive & check the versions Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins/ Re: Firefox question - DP - 03-29-2012 Well, I downloaded it from Adobe's web site and now I get window saying that my browser is blocking Flash... Yeesh. Re: Firefox question - Chakravartin - 03-29-2012 DP wrote: Silly question 1: Did you install the new Flash pluging after downloading it? Silly question 2: Do you have a Flash-blocker add-on installed? Silly answer 1: Yes. I closed FF and installed it then restarted. Silly answer 2: Not that I know of. This is the first time I have ever seen this notification in all the years I've been using Firefox and Yahoo! Sorry-I type fast. What I wrote last was meant to read that I still get the window saying my browser is blocking Flash. Re: Firefox question - decay - 03-30-2012 do you have any 3rd party Firefox extensions that you can disable? NoScript? i have a bunch of extensions and i logged into Yahoo mail with no window. |
