[Consumerism] Great but elusive products - Black - 10-24-2012

1) A thread on the other side prompted a dormant memory of once finding Sunkist Orange Soda slurpees at a 7-11. It was amazing. Maybe 5 years ago.... have never seen this since.

2) Dial Blue Grit soap. Anyone try this? It was only available at full price in 3-packs, and I bought it several times anyways... was waiting for it to show up on sale or in multipacks, but it seems to have disappeared.

Are there any products that really wowed you but then slipped away as quickly as they came into your life?

Dial Blue Grit is available from Amazon.

Thanks. $60 shipping on 16 :-( Been meaning to check online.... but it seems to be discontinued as evidenced by it disappearing from all brick and mortar stores?

Sterile preservative-free contact-lens-cleaning saline in a pressurized spray-bottle.

All the stuff on the shelves 'round here is bottled in plastic and loaded with eye-irritating preservatives.

I had to special-order it from Rite Aid last time. They couldn't even find it in the catalog at CVS.

...

And Halloween F/X contact lenses.

'Can't be sold anymore in the US without a referring physician.

I don't think it's been discontinued, Dial still promotes it on their web site: http://www.dialsoap.com/fm-bluegrit_barsoap.html

Canvas Reebok tennis shoes. They quit making them about 8-10 years ago. Wish I'd bought a dozen pairs.
