What an a$$hole.

It only takes a bad decision or two to obviate folks to the good decisions. The argument will be that the alternative would have been worse but that doesn't absolve the current administration and Mr. Obama from blame.

Enough time has passed for him to have acted and like it or not he now owns the drone and Gitmo detention programs.

Re: Obama's drone party - Beam Me Up Scotty - 03-27-2013

Watching this I couldn't help but be reminded of the old game Missile Command...

As far as innocent people being killed in drone strikes gosh darn it they shouldn't be hanging around the bad guys. Besides, we are winning the "war", aren't we? Aren't we? That's what the current administration is saying so it must be true. Fire up another drone and let's blow some stuff (and a few civilians) up!

Re: Obama's drone party - Mac-A-Matic - 03-27-2013

According to the provided graphic:

George W. Bush Death Toll: 509

Current Barack H. Obama Death Toll (as of March 22, 2013): 2,596

In the span of just over one term as President of the United States, Barack Obama has massacred FIVE TIMES the number of people killed by George W. Bush.

At the current rate of killing, Obama should be able to massacre a total of just over 5,000 Pakistanis via drone strikes by the time his term ends in 2016.

Obama's death toll should equal that of 9/11 (2,977) maybe as early as next week!

Re: Obama's drone party - gabester - 03-28-2013

But if my interpretation of the graphic was correct, roughly half of Bush's murders were civilian with a fifth being children, while Obama's civilian deaths were down to about a quarter civilian with a tenth being children.

So statistically Obama's killed a lot more "bad guys" (non-children non-civilians) and fewer "innocents." In fact, he's only killed about as many innocents total as Bush killed bad guys, so his ratio's better by far. And that's some small consolation that per-hit, we're making fewer new enemies.

Wow, way to rationalise killing...

Re: Obama's drone party - OWC Jamie - 03-28-2013

Our killing is better than your killing.

Truly the root of the mindset here...

Do you honestly believe this? mick e just returned from the middle east, and he can tell you that the effects of Obama's acceleration of the drone program are not "making fewer enemies".

In fact, the opposite is true.

Right.
In other words, it is all George Bush's fault...
