Flash update warning for Camino users - Forrest - 07-13-2013 As a regular Camino user - I want to warn fellow users not to upgrade to the latest Flash Player 11.8.x - it's not compatible with Camino - Camino quits. If you've already updated, download and run the Flash Uninstall program, reboot and download Flash Player 11.7.700.232 - which was released 7/9/13. Link here to both programs here Re: Flash update warning for Camino users - PeterB - 07-13-2013 Thanks for this info ... I noticed that too. Unfortunately I'd already done the stupid fracking Adobe update. :X Re: Flash update warning for Camino users - Ted King - 07-13-2013 Thanks, that's good to know. Unfortunately, though, this is just another sign that I'll have to be moving on from Camino before too long - which is a shame because it is still my favorite browser. As I recall Firefox was the basis for the original Camino build. I haven't noticed any significant differences since returning to FF. Re: Flash update warning for Camino users - silvarios - 07-13-2013 Yeah, Camino's time is over. Was a great browser, but lack of updates has killed its usability. Unsurprisingly, when Mozilla killed embedded Gecko, the Camino team weren't left with many options. |
