“At a time when anti-Semitic incidents have increased — due to the president's emboldening of white nationalism — Trump is repeating an anti-Semitic trope. If this is about Israel, then Trump is repeating a dual loyalty claim, which is a form of anti-Semitism. If this is about Jews being ‘loyal’ to him, then Trump needs a reality check,” said Halie Soifer, executive director of the Jewish Democratic Council of America.

You're missing out on what is actually going on here.
The Ultra-Orthodox Jews have promised Trump he will be written down in the multi-thousand year Biblical history of the Jewish People along with the other good kings who were blessed by God for aiding the Jews. The Ultra-Orthodox, naturally claim it will be them who will write the Jewish heritage of the future. So look at it from Trump's angle, what do you care about, some grumbling historians saying you are the worst president ever, or immortality in the civilization's-long tale of the Jewish people?
"Trump Anointed By God" sounds a lot better to the orange maniac than merely 'President 45'. Get the picture?
