Perhaps. He has been one of the loudest critics of the hacks Tesla took to get the Model 3 ramp set up. Munro refused to recommend a Model 3 to buy, until this interview and the Dec 2020 version of the Model 3.

It was a good interview.
Gigafactory Austin and Gigafactory Berlin can't start cranking out cars and batteries fast enough for me...

I heard of Munro back in my aerospace days, before Tesla was a thing. And when Tesla first came out, Munro was highly critical.....but then he took a Tesla apart and was so astounded by the quality of components (he called it military grade), that he became a convert.

I also liked when Tesla released that it was going to a single casting for the rear chassis... Munroe immediately showed a prototype chassis (for another vehicle maker) made that way, and said "I've been trying to get automakers to do it this way for 15 years! Tesla is the only one bold enough to do it!".
The guy knows his stuff... One of the big reasons I'm holding, rather than selling to reap a very nice profit on Tesla.
Now if they can just get Gigafactory Austin finished in record time and start production on Big Truck and Little Truck....

I hear you bro, I’m holding, I think Tesla will actually outperform the market for the next several years. I’ve even got a few cyber trucks on order (the high end 3 motor ones) as speculative investments for potential resale.

As I look at my TSLA holding... and my 24 years left on my mortgage... it's hard not to sell and become completely debt free, but, if Tesla performs like we think it's going to... Well, If it hits $1400 a share, I'll probably sell HALF, and be debt free, and hold on to the other half. :-)

I know that mortgage pay off potential’s been tempting you very hard with Tesla’s run up lately. I won’t blame you at all, it’s very nice not having to worry about anything in case things ever get really really bad

My thinking exactly... Being able to retire one day is wholly dependent on not having a mortgage for me. Come on, $1400...
