Apple has a decent sized building in Seattle, and no union here that I know of.

Maybe they should bring down corporate management pay inline with what it should be and it won't make a spits worth of difference.

My only issue with unions is they make it very hard to get rid of really crappy workers.
My partner's dad was #2 in the local pipe and steamfitters union. Many of the union leaders and instructors in the union hall were taught by him when they were apprentices, and he was a master welder for nuclear piping systems. His eldest son now carries the family torch...

Unions increase wages, but they also increase productivity and reduce churn which saves a lot of money and makes it easier to plan for the future.

One of the brothers is a retired iron-worker, a union local so tight-knit openings were treated like Ivy League college admittance legacies. You had to be a family member or have political clout to get in. He slipped through with a friend as mentor and has now passed on that membership to his son.
Those sort of manipulations made unions essentially a closed shop and put union membership and benefits out of reach for many.

I would guess that the local management is responsible for screwing over the employees to cause a situation like this. If you can't point out to me when Apple reduced prices on products after offshoring production, I doubt the converse will happen due to union membership.
The vast majority of union jobs ensure women are paid the same as men.
