Wanna fight? - vision63 - 05-06-2023 This is where the fight is in the Senate. No other races are close. Re: Wanna fight? - Filliam H. Muffman - 05-06-2023 There needs to be a SuperPAC to fund conservative Independent candidates to siphon off Republican voters. Re: Wanna fight? - vision63 - 05-06-2023 Filliam H. Re: Wanna fight? - Ted King - 05-06-2023 My guess at the moment (it's still early) is that the Republicans will probably take the Arizona seat and have a really good shot at the West Virginia seat. I think there is a much better chance that the Republicans will take control of the Senate than that the Democrats will retain control. Re: Wanna fight? - Ca Bob - 05-06-2023 I suspect that Republicans will be taking a hit over their radical stance on abortion and perhaps a few other things such as Ukraine, so the issue is whether there will be a blue wave election Re: Wanna fight? - Ombligo - 05-07-2023 IMHO the Republican's game plan is to allow the default to cause a recession. Then push the blame Biden mantra like there is no tomorrow in the hope of winning the White House. It will also mean the House probably stays GOP, and the Senate will flip as well. Aside: It's interesting it's casually called Veto Pen when a Veto is when the president doesn't sign a bill, right? May have to start looking for a new app for that. Re: Wanna fight? - Ted King - 05-07-2023 Ombligo wrote: Yep. Counting on people's short memories and the "common knowledge" that Republicans are better on the economy. Short short-cut thinking helps the Republicans keep winning (along with them not giving a shit about democracy). |
