LG or Frigidaire - bazookaman - 02-25-2007 We are looking at getting a stackable washer/dryer to save some space in our house. The 2 we are looking at are LG and Frigidaire. I'm leaning toward the Frigidaire simply b/c its a tad shorter so the top controls won't be so high. But I was wondering if anyone has had any real world experience with either brand. I like my LG phone. But thats the extent of my knowledge about them. I've searched for reviews online of the products themselves, but they seem to be a Best Buy only item. Re: LG or Frigidaire - Chupa Chupa - 02-25-2007 I've had a Frigidaire stackable (the front load washing machine model) for almost 10 years now. It's been very reliable. The only thing I hate about it, and maybe ten years has changed this...the washing machine sounds like a jet engine when it's doing it's fast spin dry mode. Very annoying. Re: LG or Frigidaire - mstudio - 02-25-2007 I know you asked about stackers, but we bought Frigidaire under counter front loaders last fall. We looked at pretty much all of the brands before we decided. Come to think of it, they came with an adapter so you can stack if you want. We've been very happy with them, very quiet and very efficient when it comes to water usage. They look cool, too. I think they're the 6000 series. The high speed spin is still load, but the clothes are almost dry when done, making the dryer work less. Hope this helps. Re: LG or Frigidaire - wurm - 02-25-2007 We've been happy with out stackable front-loading Kenmore for the past 6 years. ![]() Re: LG or Frigidaire - Chupa Chupa - 02-25-2007 [quote wurm]We've been happy with out stackable front-loading Kenmore for the past 6 years. ![]() FWIW that is actually a rebadged Frigidare. Re: LG or Frigidaire - bazookaman - 02-25-2007 thanks for the input. that helps. Okay then, we've been happy with out rebadged Frigidaire for the past 6 years. ![]() Re: LG or Frigidaire - Grateful11 - 02-25-2007 Been using a Kenmore, non-stacked rebadged Whirlpool, for 12 years and it's never missed a beat. Knock on wood! LG usually means it's from Korea I believe. Re: LG or Frigidaire - MGS_forgot_password - 02-25-2007 My Frigidaire washer/dryer set is still going strong after nine years - made in USA by a Swedish company. Re: LG or Frigidaire - Mr645 - 02-25-2007 Every Frigidaire appliance I owned dies with in 5 years. I am not a fan. LG, which stands for Lucky & Goldstar, two low end Korean brands that merged, seems to be getting better these days. Nothingfrom GE or Whirlpool or Maytag? |
