Viral attacks are where it's at in 2008. Emails, blogs, online news sources. Content flows upstream in today's media environment.
We can be the gun.
Indeed, if Barack can't or won't do the dirty work, then we have to do it for him. No excuses. No more hand-wringing.
Let's get to work.
How, you ask? Simple.
It's all about finding really damaging stuff--news stories, YouTubes, informative blog posts. And then circulating those with the intent of having them work their way up the media stream. Email it to your friends. Email it to any journalists whose email you have. Post it in diaries or blog comments.
Example, here is a devastating YouTube on Sarah Strangelove:
You should email this to ten people. Or ten bloggers. Or both. Spread it far, spread it wide.
If you would like to do this on a regular basis, I've set up a couple of Google Groups to help out with that process.
One group, [group's name] is a gathering point for potentially damaging stories about the enemy. Folks who belong to that one can post whatever stories they find anonymously. Just post a link or create a page, and others will take it from there.
That brings me to the other group, [other group's name]. This group is the actual action group--the one where the most damaging stories collected by folks at the VMP. It's real simple. You log in or get an email alert, you copy and paste, and you email it to various folks--either friends and family or content-based websites like blogs and online news sources.
I am more than happy to add folks to either group or both. Just email me at:

and let me know which you'd like to join.
Let's go out and expose these bastards for what they are.

the dailykos clip is what was posted by cbs' early show since clearly there were items in palin's responses worthy of discussion.
the cbs clip is the last 60 seconds of the longer 8 min clip.
if u think palin makes sense as she repeats the party line over and over again, well u might well be the only one.

Oh, you mean the clip was edited? I thought it seemed like an abnormally short interview. Just kidding. I didn't see it. The partisan obsession with Palin is a good thing to keep Democrats distracted. I thought Palin derangement syndrome had gone into remission. When the Depression of '08 started, I got sidetracked. Who's guitarman?

Why is it that you keep using that "derangement syndrome" regarding Republicans, yet somehow you never bring it up when, oh let's say, there was non-stop right wing bashing of Senator Clinton or, how about, all the nonsense about Obama wearing "terrorist garb"?
The Democrats have learned this stuff from the Republicans. As ye sow, so shall ye reap. ENJOY!

The only place I could find mention of all that alleged Daily Kos stuff was on various right-wing blogs like Wake Up America. Daily Kos is like just about every other blog--some information and plenty of opinion. Kos is pretty liberal and doesn't try to hide it. I don't think they're into defamation though.
Anyhow, the clip is accurate, and Sarah Palin seems to be able to speak a couple of canned phrases and that's about it. She doesn't seem to have an idea of her own, or at least one that she can put out there for public consumption.

Anyways, back to the actual interview itself: Yow! No wonder Palin's handlers don't want the press within the same county as her! Her lips move, words come out, but she doesn't say anything! Nothing coherent that is.

Wonder if "Palin remorse" is setting in at McCain campaign Headquarters yet. We have two of the worst VP candidates since Bush 42 gave us Dan Quayle.

That's almost true. Though a lot of their content is garden-variety partisan reinforcement and activist discussion, DailyKos actually is one of the few extremist blogs I'm aware of that knowingly promotes smear and defamation tactics, advocates lying as a necessary tactic, and offers instructions for spreading rumors and disinformation.
Memorable moments in Kos history: when a Republican officeholder died of cancer, Moulitas posted a "let's dance on his grave, I hope more of these Republican bastards die a painful death" rant. It's also the site that published downloadable fake Press I.D.s, with instructions to print them, use them to get past security, and disrupt a campaign event. Mark Moulitas occasionally goes on vicious, deranged anti-semetic rampages, then cools off and withdraws them later that day. He's now a contributing columnist for Newsweek. He makes Ann Coulter look almost sane.
