Don't know much about LED flashlights. This one is got 100+LEDs but how does the beam look?

That's a showerhead.

none of the mult-LED lights are that good. You want super bright LED(not plural) in a focused beam.

Get a good Surefire light. I've tried the cheapie china lights. yuck.

Or a meat tenderizer.

Yeah, I've tried both, and the cheapies aren't worth it.

Get an innova (sp?), or photon, or something good--sometimes they're pretty decently priced on ebay.

Do the batteries last much much longer with LEDs?

Re: What do you think of this flashlight? - AAA - 03-06-2009

Most good/bright lights can run about an hour or so with CR123s. That's about $6/hour to operate them. But shelf life is ten years so they say. That's the important measure. You need them to work when they've been sitting in a closet waiting for the next power outage.

That is a ShowerHead!!
At least as useful as one when you need a good light!
I have that one, crapola, and chews through batteries like a woodchuck through balsa wood.
I recommended this one when it was nine bucks, still recommend it at $12.99.:

I ended up purchasing an additional 10 for a total of 14, great light, bright, tough body, you could actually knock someone out with the thing, tough but light.
Comes with DuraCell batteries, already put one in each car, and four in the EarthQuake kit.

Funny, I thought of that exact light this morning as my cheapie china light rolled onto the floor.

I have inovas and they are nice. Bulkier and not as rugged as surefires, though.

I just got two of those $13 Innovas (thanks BGnR) and they are nice.

The beam is not *quite* as bright as my SureFire Xenon, but it's *very, very* bright, and two C cells are a heck of a lot cheaper than two 123A cells, not to mention the run time.
