FedEx drops my new mini 2 feet - abevilac - 09-23-2009
Black and I both ordered new refurb minis on Monday and mine came in about 2 mins. ago. We have a full glass front door and I was in the family room [about 20 ft away] and I saw the FedEx guy drop the boxes from about 2 feet.
Anyway, Refurb MIni in the house!

He said if it's broken, they'll send you a brand new one.
It's nice that he cares.
But generally the packaging should absorb the impact, so you *should* be OK.
As long as your delivery guy is not Jim Carrey.

Will probably miss delivery on mine.
How big was the box? It's about a 5 mile ride to the facility and if I can carry it on the rear rack I'd prefer to . . .

All of the refurbed Minis I've bought came in a box just a little bit bigger than a box of tissue. Plain carboard, no frills box. 8" x 8" x 4.5" maybe - I don't have one around, just the foam packing guts from inside.

Voilà! First post from the new mini - it wasn't broken :-)
Black, the ship box size is square-ish - 14 X 15 X 11 and the mini was [white] boxed inside of shipping box. Actually the white box was placed at the bottom of the box and the rest was brown paper, so it really wasn't that well cushioned on the bottom but it does work, so I guess the delivery guy is off the hook.
10.5.6 is running now so I will need to use the drop-in SL to update.
