Sad. We will always remember him. He was the computer jesus.

What a difference this one man's vision made in the world! He set the bar for vision and excellence higher than everyone else even realized was possible. I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect that many of us won't see the likes of him again in our lifetimes. I will miss him a lot. At least this difficult part of his journey is over.

Like many of us, I didn't know the man personally but he certainly touched my life. Not only with the great products that I use everyday but with his vision, determination and creativity that will always be an inspiration. He will truly be missed.

Re: RIP Steve Jobs - DavidS - 10-06-2011

I'm at a recruiting dinner and my wife just texted me a picture of the announcement on TV. I'm talking about my job but had to excuse myself. I immediately came here for info.

From getting my //c in 1984 to the present, I've always thought of myself as an Apple fanboy, mainly due to the vision of Steve.

He will be missed greatly in my household.
R.I.P. Steve. Thank you for everything you have done to change the world and make it a better place.

No words really work. It's an enormous loss.

I think Wailer nailed the comment. I'm very sad about this. I feel I have lost a family member. Dang it! I think I'd better buy a current generation Mac and hold on to it to hold on to a Steve product. I think I'll fire up my original 5gb iPod.

Been planning on giving my Cube a new home in my bedroom
one day, I think tomorrow will be that day.

In fact we are, more or less, all here talking with each other right this minute because of him.

You folks are all great, and we've been through a lot together. I'm happy to be a part of this forum and I owe it to Steve Jobs. It's meant a lot to me.
