I remember when Macs stopped being 'business computers' when my local bank in 1990 switched to a Windows only online banking system. And my company switched to buying PC's limited computers from this guy in Texas in the late 80's. I knew Macs were going mainstream again when my mother switched, despite her broker telling her 'The software is expensive and a lot of financial software won't work on them'. Although now that I think of it, my brother, the last to try that, just experienced a ridiculous replace-your-hard-drive-lose-your-data virus meltdown. He may come over. I admit it, that doesn't make me as happy as it would have ten years ago. I am evil. |
