Re: Bluetooth Car Mic/Speaker Recs - RAMd®d - 07-02-2011

I got a blueant speakerphone but was disappointed at the audio. While it functioned adequately, the audio was much higher pitched than I like and was extremely irritating. It was really harsh sounding.

It's the only speakerphone I've tried. A lot of earpieces and iPod/iPhone type boxes to too much the other way- too much bass and not enough midrange for intelligibility.

If I found a speakerphone I liked, I'd use that over an earpiece. It might pick up more background noise than my Icon, but it's always amazing how much my audio acuity increases when I take the Jawbone off.

The earpiece comes off when the call is over. I can't run around with that in my ear on the off chance someone may call. If I was on the 'Phone that much, there would certainly be a speakerphone in my future.

Yard,

Jabra Cruiser2. Absolutely the best I've used in my experience. My family and friends like it so much that we have at least ten of them amongst us. Costco had it on sale for $49 a couple weeks ago but I'm not sure what the going rate is now. Worth every penny! If the built in bluetooth speaker phone broke in my car and it wasn't covered under warranty, I'd get a Cruiser2 and be done with it.

P.S. The Jabra Cruiser Edgar posted about is the predecessor of the Cruiser2 I'm recommending to you. I heard the older model was good but not as good as the Cruiser2.

I think the Costco sale ends tomorrow July 3.
FYI
if Cruiser 1 died for whatever reason i would go get Cruiser 2 without even looking around.
Im that pleased with Cruiser 1
