Note that if you make a claim on your renter's insurance it will follow you around for several years - possibly important if you want to buy a house and are looking for homeowner's insurance. Happened to me.
Keep the deductible fairly high - maybe the price of one lens ??? (If they can steal one they will take them all.)

GeneL - no, just that any claims you make will follow you around for several years. It seems that most insurance companies currently view insurance as something for catastrophic events. Apparently the insurance business is not the cash cow it once was...
As others have advised renter's insurance is the way to go to cover your cameras, just be careful with the claims.

Gene, IF you were ever in the armed forces, then USAA is a great company for all kinds of insurance and investment. they really know how to provide excellent service and will truly take care of you. They are head and shoulders above any other insurance company I have ever used, or, even heard of . . .
I have no comments about any other insurance company . . .

GeneL, were either of your parents? That usually qualifies for USAA as well.
USAA if they have a year of unusually low claims/payouts, will give a rebate on some % of your premiums. It has usually run in the 5-15% range most years from what i recall.

I know a guy filed 3 claims on his Homeowners and they tripled his rate for about a
year until the first claim he filed came off his record or whatever you call it.
