Re: Pet-Safe Weed Killers ?? - mjgkramer - 08-01-2011 The fellow who did some landscaping for us recently has a call in talk show on our local station. I recently heard him tell a caller that vinegar with greater than 10% concentration is a good, safe weed killer. If you do a Google search you will find lots of references. This one says concentrations of 5% will work. http://www.ehow.com/how_4762568_make-weed-killer-vinegar.html Re: Pet-Safe Weed Killers ?? - Grateful11 - 08-01-2011 Do you want total kill or just broadleaf? As many of you know my wife runs a somewhat large cattle farm. I found this product for her and it works on nearly all broadleaf weeds and there's no pull time, in other words it's safe enough that non-lactating cows can be put right onto a pasture that has been sprayed. http://www.pbigordon.com/professional/page.php?ID_PRODUCTS=811 She still won't let them on an area for a few days, she's picky and doesn't like for her herd to get in contact with any unnecessary chemicals. If you have a Tractor Supply Co. near you they carry it, it's about $40 a gallon but you mix it about 2-3 oz per gallon of water so it goes a long ways. Someone was asking about it the other day for his yard and told he might want to go together and buy a gallon with his neighbor or something because it makes a lot. I still would not let pets or children onto a sprayed area until it has dried on the plants. There's an MSDS safety sheet that's downloadable on the site. ![]() Re: Pet-Safe Weed Killers ?? - cbelt3 - 08-01-2011 http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00920690000P?keyword=harris+inferno&sLevel=0&prop17=harris%20inferno FIRE ! I also suggest you read Plague Dogs by Richard Adams. As for killing weeds you can Mix Cooking Oil and a dish soap with surfactants to kill weeds when applied in the heat of the day. Your local Extension Office may have some free info on this type of approach. I hope you get well soon *(:>* Rudie Re: Pet-Safe Weed Killers ?? - Speedy - 08-01-2011 Agreed. mattkime wrote: Re: Pet-Safe Weed Killers ?? - haikuman - 08-02-2011 Speedy wrote: You are smoking crunch dudes ~!~!~!~ Put some correctly mixed Round Up directly on your skin and get back to us with the results....
