OSX 10.4.11 runs just fine on all G3 and G4 Macs with a FW port. You really ought to upgrade.

I would imagine that 10.2 has security issues galore since it hasn't been updated in over six years.

MegaMacs used to have OSX 10.4 for $40-$50, but now I see it's $140-$146 - which just seems insane. It's not legally available for download.
