We would have experienced 9/11 the same way we experienced the takeover of the US embassy in Tehran. Painfully, without clear and coherent defense or retribution. He would have lobbed another few dozen cruise missiles into Afghanistan, and then gone off to gut US manufacturing with environmental regulation. China would be the world's largest economy, and we'd be around #25 by now. Unemployment would be standing around 35%, and 'Occupy Wall Street' would be real, with hobo shanties called "Goreville" standing in every major metropolitan area from Bangor to San Diego.

Who would have gutted environmental regulation?

Gore?

Al Gore?

Are you serious?

Oh, wait - never mind, I just read the remainder of your post.

Just for fun...what if the Supreme Court chose Gore over Bush?

I think things would be very different right now, what say you?

Gore would've squashed the Gov't conspiracy to bring down the Twin Towers, toot-sweet.

I am guessing that you don't have Angry Birds installed on your phone.

I think for sure we wouldn't have invaded Iraq. As to whether 9/11 would've happened, I think it most likely would have. But at the same time I think the chances are less that it would've, considering the continuity of the Clinton administrations viewpoint of Al-Qaeda as being the greatest terrorist threat.

Come cbelt, tell me your being facetious...(^_^)

Just not invading Iraq would have changed the whole deal here in the US. There would have been money around, our debt would be TONS less.

Just a what if sort of day...what if I won a million dollars...>Big Grin<

There is never enough money. Remember the peace dividend?

Probably very true BUT, I fear it only would have put off the inevitable. We've had this coming for a while now. BushCo just offered expedited service.

I remember the peace dividend. I got mine in 1992, when I lost my career in the defense industry. Nice dividend. Thanks.
