Someone who didn't know anything about Windows 8, would have a sense of the major changes coming. Whole new interface based on Window Phone 7. One optimized for touch and just happens to be the first relatively clean break in the Windows interface since Windows 1.0; and hey, there is still a classic mode if you need legacy. There's also a quick description regarding how the new interface may actually prove useful (live tiles with instant access to desired info) and a helpful link to the consumer preview. Mac users and love the Mac, except pretty much every post finds a Serious Concern with some aspect of the company or its products. Re: Mac User: Why I Love Windows 8 - silvarios - 03-28-2012 While I find Windows 8 to be conceptually interesting, I'm still not a fan of Microsoft's "sue or threaten to sue when we can't compete" business practices. If I don't update my Macs, I'll likely skip Windows 8 and stick with Linux for my desktop alternative. Re: Mac User: Why I Love Windows 8 - N-OS X-tasy! - 03-28-2012 silvarios wrote: Really? Would you say that that is enough info to declare oneself "in love" with Windows 8? Re: Mac User: Why I Love Windows 8 - samintx - 03-29-2012 Personally, I like WIN7 better than the menu changes in WIN8. Too much fluff in 8 and stuff scattered all over the place. But then I have changed back to Mac so I really don't care anymore! But I won't change my PCs over to 8. I like WIN98, too. Re: Mac User: Why I Love Windows 8 - bwicklander - 03-29-2012 Why I love Windows 8 so much?? They paid me to write this fluff. If one were a fan of the Windows Phone 7 interface, then maybe. If one were otherwise happy 75% of the time with such a steamlined approach, but wished for quick access to a more feature rich PC experience that last 25%, then maybe.
