Re: Can I rent access to my wifi to my neighbors? - thermarest - 03-30-2012 Talk of jail time is silly. Violating Comcast's ToS is a civil matter between Comcast and Jerry.® Regarding illegal activity of any kind, if the Feds come knocking its no different than roommates or a family sharing a connection via a router. They're going to investigate and find out who among those using the connection was doing the hypothetical illegal things. If you had roommates who were not close personal friends that you trusted to never do illegal things on the internet, would the same worry prevent you from sharing the same Comcast connection? If so, then don't do it with the neighbors. If not, then perhaps you're willing to risk Comcast finding out and filing a civil suit against you for the damages they suffered as a result of your ToS violations. |
