Yes - Texas and South Carolina and Georgia will go for Romney.

But DOJ isn't fighting this because it hurts Democrats politically if minorities are disenfranchised, they're doing it because it violates basic civil rights. I think the red state thing is moot.
Also, there are more than just presidential elections that matter. No states is 100% red (okay, maybe Oklahoma is).
