Acting as if the actions of a few are an indication of some kind of trend is pretty silly. There's always going to be people who do something stupid and that will include faculty members same as the rest of the population. Trying to turn it into yet another attack on teachers, well, I am not going to fall for it.

I say anyone in the school helping one side should be upbraided. I don't like voter registration unless it can be done on the up-and-up. I would like to see 2 candidates or representatives debate, but it has to be fair and equal in a school.
