Re: Favorite "sweet" Liqueur? - Black - 01-09-2013 I've got a few bottles of Limoncello in the cue, and some Patron Citronage, but tend to not have a taste for them except in summertime. Frangelico... I like it somewhat, but not enough to pop for a whole bottle. Any Jägermeister aficionados here? Anyone have a preference for some odd Schnapps made from something nobody would ever expect Schnapps to me made from? Re: Favorite "sweet" Liqueur? - Filliam H. Muffman - 01-09-2013 I got a bottle of Grand Marnier as a gift and had to struggle to finish it. I never found a mixed drink that used it that I liked and did not like it straight. I buy Potter's 1.75l (store brand?) version of Khalua because it is the most acceptable balance of taste and cost for my poorly working taste buds but I can't drink it after dinner because it keeps me awake (one of the original alcoholic pick me up drinks). Re: Favorite "sweet" Liqueur? - Thrift Store Scott - 01-09-2013 Amaretto (particularly good over ice) Spearmint Schnapps (I like spearmint better than peppermint in general) Apple Schnapps Sloe Gin (great mixed with 7-Up over ice for a quick-n-easy Sloe Gin Fizz. If you read traditional recipes for a Sloe Gin Fizz, all the other ingredients (simple syrup, soda water, and lemon juice) basically add up to home-made 7-Up anyway) Re: Favorite "sweet" Liqueur? - M>B> - 01-09-2013 Moscow Mule... http://www.oprah.com/food/Moscow-Mule-Recipe_1 You don't need no stinking copper mug! Re: Favorite "sweet" Liqueur? - DP - 01-09-2013 Baileys and Kahlua here. Kahlua in my coffee and chili (took a 4th place once). Put Bailey's in a blender with an equal amount of Breyers Real Vanilla ice cream and blend! Man... Filliam . . . - WHiiP - 01-09-2013 Add some brandy or cognac to the Grand Marnier. I use E & J Gallo VSOP in a 50/50 mix. Turns it into a real Man's drink. Creates a Grand Marnier version of B&B. Re: Favorite "sweet" Liqueur? - dmann - 01-09-2013 That Patron Cafe is goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood stuff. I recommended it here a while back and I'm still a fan. ![]() DM Re: Favorite "sweet" Liqueur? - NewtonMP2100 - 01-09-2013 ....what about plain old mother's milk......??? |
