Supposedly this can convert cwk files, http://www.panergy-software.com/products/docxconverter/index.html, and of course there is Sheepshaver as Rolando mentioned, http://sheepshaver.cebix.net/

I've sent you a PM. I have functioning AppleWorks 6 and MS Office X on my laptop. Happy to try 'em on a couple samples of your files. Then, if successful, we'll do 'em all.

some third party has the function to open word file in high quality and able to process word document even without the MIcrosoft Office.
