As a Christian, I want to apologize for swampy and other right-wing so-call "Christian" behavior. I don't know what happened, but for several years, right-wingers full of hate have taken over the Christian faith, at least in the south. Real Christians don't act like that - saying things like: "A blessed and happy Easter to all Who believe. Have a nice day for those who don't." It is needlessly provocative and disgusting.

Hey, it isn't just in the south. IIRC, Sarah Palin is one of those types, and she is from about as far north as you can get. While we do have an over abundance of right wing crazies here in the south, I get really tired of everyone, not just you Dennis, acting like this is the only place where this type of behavior exists, unfortunately, it isn't. I could site other examples, rather than just SP, but I won't. Let's just agree that there are haters everywhere and not just south of an arbitrary line. Sorry to vent, but I get tired of all the south bashing. We have a lot of good and bad people, just like everywhere else.

I'm not entirely sure that's where "she" was going with the way "she" phrased it. I just received it as the textbook taking advantage of the occasion to strengthen the pure and innocent victim portfolio.

Well, I've been stuck here in Arkansas for several years since I don't travel anymore. So I don't see what's going on everywhere else. Whatever the truth is, I am no longer involved with most organized religion because the churches, at least around here and what I see on TV and hear on radio, have become right-wingers first and Christians second. Almost all of the highly visible preachers rant and rave about homosexuality and Obama. They seem to worship the flag and guns more than God. Instead of helping the poor, they hate them. They hate gays. They hate Democrats. I am embarrassed to be lumped in the same group as they are. They need to shut up about all of this and preach the Gospel.
