Yup, ONE thread from over a year ago. Where are all the others? There were thousands and thousands of children kidnapped over a number of years and forced to murder people. Just gets a peep here. I guess they weren't white or female enough.

You guys remember the story of the two boys found being "kept" by some man in Missouri?
Similar in a lot of ways, but I guess keeping female sex slaves is more interesting to the world population than keeping teen boys.

Why would people in America care about that? We're so far removed and so insulated from that kind of misery, plus there's no money to be made. Let's face it, Africans suffering is not "news" and won't garner the interest of America. Hell, they had genocide in Rwanda and no one cared.

It's got all the makings of a ratings winner, but it doesn't mean it's not interesting. I'm the first one to complain about local murders going national but this isn't a murder, it's a bizarre crime coupled with a more-or-less happy ending. It's a like a Venn diagram where you have several factors overlapping and the center part is News Headlines.
