For a home environment shielded is rarely necessary. If shielded is needed, the runs have to be checked as the ground line connected between pieces of equipment can create ground loops that will introduce their own interference. The electricians came back to my home several times and ran power directly over my wires. I had to move them to avoid the EMI.
