haha. you will benefit by having something between the tires and the floor...a couple layers of material will help reduce noise.

On a totally unrelated note, are there any kits to allow you to use your bike to generate any kind of electricity? I'd settle for charging an iPhone... just want to see some benefit to the cycling on top of the physical exertion.
