I like the new phones-- I decided almost immediately I am going to switch to iPhone when I can get a 64 GB in the Galaxy-S3-copy-size for $200 or less used/no contract.

The on contract prices are kinda high. Why wouldn't the 16gb be a 32gb? It might be worth saving up to just buy the 128gb.

To be fair, the first iPhone did not sell very well. It was $600+ with contract. Total rip off, even at the time.
And yes, the new iPhones, as nice as they seem to be, or too pricey for me. My budget is $200. The Moto G is a great phone for my budget. Good enough, depending on camera needs of course.

Wait, that will be never. As far as I know, the iPhone has never dropped to that price point off contract. The original iPhone 4GB may have been $250ish, but I think those were refurbs. Maybe in three years a used iPhone will cost $200.

They're pretty close to other flagship devices. Maybe $100 more at any given tier. However, if you don't need iOS, lot of deals to be had on former Android and Windows phone flagships.

This is sarcasm? A bigger phone has more case, more panel, often more battery, these prices add up. Is a 60" HDTV generally cheaper than a 32"? Is the 11" or 13" Air more expensive?
An iPad Air has considerably "more case" and only lacks the cell radio—which is probably a $50 part—yet the 6+ is more expensive. While it looks like a really nice phone, the pricing is absurd.

64GB 7.9" iPad Mini retina w/cellular - $729
64GB 5.5" iPhone 6+ no contract - $850
Well, the iPhone 6+ makes calls, has a faster processor, does NFC, and other odds n ends and is smaller. I suppose that could mean $121 to many people.
