Re: Saw Spectre last night in IMAX - Kludgy Thingy - 11-18-2015 The car chase scenes were nothing to write home about. However, the car/motorcycle chase scene in the Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is worth the price of the DVD (when it comes out) in my humble opinion. Re: Saw Spectre last night in IMAX - RAMd®d - 11-18-2015 I had to skip past the spoilers. The sound was too high This has been my complaint for the last two IMAX movies I saw. I think the volume is based on some THX standard that hasn't been actually tested for the size of the theater, as you said. The first time, I did the my fingers in my ears bit. The next time I had foam earplugs, and used them. Both times I complained to the a manager, but I think I'll have to write to somebody, to actually feel better about saying something the the issue may not be corrected. I could always take a dB meter with me. Re: Saw Spectre last night in IMAX - Racer X - 11-19-2015 you can get a dB meter for your smartphone. I have one on my 'droid. Re: Saw Spectre last night in IMAX - RAMd®d - 11-19-2015 I already have a dB meter. An app might be additionally impressive. Re: Saw Spectre last night in IMAX - NewtonMP2100 - 11-19-2015 ....me too but it turned out to be the ghost of some Danish king..... Re: Saw Spectre last night in IMAX - Lizabeth - 11-19-2015 BUT I do want both of the cars Bond drove...serious car envy. I plan to put foam ear plugs in my bag for future movie going. Re: Saw Spectre last night in IMAX - GeneL - 11-20-2015 "THE SOUND WAS TOO HIGH!" I had that complaint when we went to see Avatar at the iMAX 3D theater and came out to tell the manager. He said that it was controlled by the distributor and that he couldn't do anything to change it. He recognized the problem and gave us passes for another show, which I still haven't used. We did go back in, after stuffing wadded up napkins in our ears to help muffle the sound. |
