'Still don't know how I avoided being grounded for life. Yeah, I don't know how you could have avoided that either, since those things aren't cheap. I'd have no tolerance in my household now... It wouldn't just get chalked up to youthful experimentation or something. Not when it's $3-10 per minute. I remember making prank calls with friends to random numbers, thinking, "We'll never get caught." Except one time when something really weird happened (the phone rang immediately after we pissed someone off, and there was a strange clicking that wouldn't go away even after we repeatedly hung up the line... I can say we didn't ever get in trouble! |
