Interesting wording. I can't imagine a .22 "mowing down the branches". Then again, I was almost afraid to read that it might have been a machine gun or other assault weapon. Good for him. And according to the article, that in itself was sort of a last resort, as he attempted to get "official" help from other agencies.

I assume there was downrange collateral damage, based on lack of subsequent reports, but I wonder what was down range.

A .22LR has about a 1.5 mile range (YRMV) at a 45º angle.

So I'm curious as to where, given his circumstances, 150rnds landed.
