I've heard that several times. I can't take much more of this idiocy

Maybe closing your mouth might spare you from listening to any idiocy.
OTOH you might remember Thomas Jefferson, an expert on shaking things up:...

I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.
He wasn't talking about Trump.
Clinton IS the corrupt machine, The Tammany Hall.
You have nobody to blame but yourself, the Democratic Party waylaid Bernie Sanders, the only revolutionary alternative to Trump that was available.

One that was much more palatable to both present candidates. ...

Bernie would have lost. Just call him a commie. Nothing even slightly corrupt about Hillary. She's gonna win. Twice.

The way that sentence is constructed, max is saying that Sanders was more palatable to Trump and Clinton. I think he was trying to say "more palatable than both present candidates".

Talk about being blind, deaf and totally clueless.
On the plus side you have been quite consistent in drawing wrong conclusions.
In your defense, always starting with the wrong assumptions pretty much guaranteed the same outcome....

Anyone who equates placing a charlatan like Trump in the Presidency as being akin to Jefferson's "a little rebellion" has either completely failed to grasp his meaning, or is intentionally using a specious analogy in hopes of adding a veneer of false gravitas by invoking Jefferson's name.

I am sure you can provide us examples of palatable to you agents of revolution, DeusxMac.
Robespierre? Lenin? Mao? Che? PolPot?

How would you decide who is an acceptable agent of change to your delicate sensibilities, DeusxMac?
Oh, wait, you prefer to support the most corrupt version of the Tammany Hall we have had in a long, long time. No wonder you would object to any change, in any form....

We're talking about someone who went on television for YEARS claiming that Obama was not born in America. That's just outright hate-mongering bigotry. (A Trump family tradition).

There's a fine line between "shake thing up" and "burn the whole thing down."

I wanted to shake things up, too. I thought Bernie could do it and supported him.

But I'm an adult and I realize that he is no longer in the race.
