.....yeah, episode felt a bit rushed to me....they added a fight sequence which was pretty good though......

Great episode.
Hokey smokes Bullwinkle, Sherlock can throw hands. I've always felt that Sherlock should be as freakishly knowledgeable about/skilled in personal defense as he is in most other things.
Ah poor Watson. Poor Mary. GREAT character, sad to see her go, but in the end I can't argue with the decision to revert the trio to the classic duo.
Watson's almost primal bull roar of grief was heartbreaking. No less so, his fury at the man who can seemingly solve the unsolvable, untangle Gordian knots, find answers to questions no one else can even see, utterly fail to keep the most important promise he could ever make.
(Gossipy aside. Martin Freeman/Watson and Amanda Abbington/Mary actually were husband and wife until shortly before this current season.)
Two more episodes left. Much talk that this could be the swan song. It's been a great run.

.....yes supposedly after they separated, he moved to L.A.........
