Yes, but now Schumer et al want instead an investigation to stay within the Senate, and bipartisan. But McConnell and crew won't sign off on that unless and until things get worse first. Several Republican senators still need to see what legislation they can get out of Trump first, and I don't see them investigating the Golden Goose anytime soon.

I went out on a limb a few days ago and posted elsewhere that Gen. Flynn Facts would be gone by the end of February. He was shown the door the next day. I predicted here that Pres. Trump would serve out a full term because the Republican Congress wouldn't risk impeaching him for fear of their base. I hate to think I was being overly optimistic and that we'll soon have a Pres. Pence which would be worse than a Pres. Trump.

Maybe not. He is already pushing his socially conservative agenda. With Trump as the face of the administration, his loyal minions will cheer anything he does.
With Pence as the face, it may not be as easy, since the end game is more obvious.

I agree - as much as Pence would be a terrible president just as he was terrible for Indiana, he doesn't appear to be part of the $$$$-Russia-Philippines cabal and we need that out of the White House fast.

I'll never support a "today's" Republican. They would have to be openly moderate. And only in an emergency such as this. I prefer Trump over Pence. I'm confident we can mute him by 2018. But that only happens if we can be unified. No alternative agendas.
