I wear white T's in the summer for coolness and comfort..if you really want comfort like you mightn't notn't haven't experienced get some Muji T's I've gone through most of the off the shelf stuff in the U.S...Muji T's slay them all..incredible comfort, nice cut and long lasting, high quality cotton..I don't wear anything else n'more
Muji opened their first store in the USA in the mid 2000's..great store, beautiful minimal product design..love this stuff..can order online..they ARE more expensive but for me totally worth it..i don't think about now..

Yes, I bought a bunch there over a year ago that were heavy duty long sleeve and have been great. Four bucks, iirc.

I have been buying my t-shirts from Macy's for years. I only buy cotton and I find that I pretty much wear them every day.
Years ago, I bought, as I always have, a dozen of the Macy's own Alfani brand cotton tees. They were made in Japan and they had lasted for ten years in good condition until I finally gave them away because they no longer fit after I lost 70 pounds. What I loved about those shirts was that they were made more like a sweater, with gathered sleeves and waist bands. Because of the construction, the collars remained tight to my neck without sagging through years of laundering. The fabric was much heftier than any I have ever seen since.
Sadly, I haven't found any tees of that quality, since that time.

Unfortunately, with many products, they are made to a price point, instead of the customer having an idea of the quality they needed, and paying what they had to to get that quality.

"wife beaters" are tank tops. Plain and simple. Not T-shirts in any way, shape or form.

....yeah, but the 'older' generations used to wear those more often.....
