I actually found it enjoyable except for the humor. It's very reminiscent of TNG. Re: Star Trek Discovery is so bad... - SteveG - 09-27-2017 The Orville just ain't wright. Re: Star Trek Discovery is so bad... - NewtonMP2100 - 09-27-2017 ....so you bit.....?? Re: Star Trek Discovery is so bad... - bfd - 09-27-2017 Someone apparently never viewed an entire episode of the the original Star Trek. Maybe this Discovery crew is caught up in some type of time warp, but the kind of equipment shown on that vessel NEVER appeared on NCC-1701… Re: Star Trek Discovery is so bad... - NewtonMP2100 - 09-27-2017 ....that is what I'm saying....this occurred before the original Star Trek.......so why is the technology.....MORE advanced.....at least on the show 'Enterprise' the technology fit the time period....... Understood, but I've moved on from torrenting files and now value convenience. Or I'll just go do something else. TV, or loss of it, is no biggie for me. For a show I cared about, I could be persuaded to do it the old fashioned way, by tuning in at an exact time each week, AND "put up" with commercials. But even that's not an option here. CBS got a huge influx of new subscribers because of this new show, but has squandered the one thing all of the Netflixes of world will never have: actual, OTA broadcast ability. It's clear they don't want it. Instead of educating consumers about the value of an antenna, they chose to milk them. I'll torrent a few more episodes, and see how things shape up. But not gonna pay CBS's prices for the ONE show of theirs I'm interested in. *Star Trek fans, not just on the Forum. |
