Many of the LED filament bulbs have a warm light. Several of them in a room give a nice diffused light. The "Edison bulb" style are generally low output, so it's not uncomfortable to look directly at them.

Well I'll be, I never knew those were LED light bulbs. I just assumed they were some kind of emergent boutique throwback to incandescent bulbs. You learn something new every day.

They certainly were, and available for many years, but this is a new wrinkle on that trend. My reaction was the same when I saw LED on the side of the box. So glad I tried it, it's become my night light, at a perfect color temp, and using only 6w.
