When we lived in Hawaii in the early 50s, one of the families in my preschool car pool had a Model A sedan. Rust prevention in those old cars was nonexistent, so the salty, humid air wreaked havoc. This car, not much more than 20 years old at the time, had bih holes in the floorboards where they'd rusted through, so we could look down and see the road whizzing by in a blur. The roof was gone too. It was an adventure riding in it.
