Actually, what almost always happens when victims wait 40 years to say anything is nothing.
This victim didn't wait 40 years. She was assaulted in 2004, and received a $ multi-million settlement from Cosby in 2005.

Yes, also, and I haven't paid attention to all the legal details here about this accusation and all the others, but this victim did come forward more than 10 years ago and the prosecutors had declined to bring charges back then. So in this one instance, the victim did not delay making a report.

And if even a FEW of his other victims had felt that reporting their rapes and assaults was a safe and supported thing to do, I bet they would have.

Used to have a lot of respect for him. Key words are the first two. (Used to)
He owns property and spent a lot of time at his house about 10 miles from me.Boy, back when times were better for him, he had one heck of a Christmas light display all over his house, barn, and yard.
Now he blends in, if he comes to the property at all.

Who knows what and when some of these young ladies knew/remembered and when they knew/remembered it. Some of them were supposedly fairly drugged out. It can take decades to put bits and pieces of nightmares and flashbacks together and realize something is real.

No. She testified as the victim of a crime in a criminal case. This case had nothing to do with her directly so what she did or didn't do in her civil case has no bearing here at all.
