How long it lasts depends on how it’s wrapped.
Foil and ziplock freezer bag, a year... maybe 18mo.
Vacuum sealer, a couple years.
Aluminum foil, and a double layer of vacuum bagging? 5-6 years?
All will still be SAFE for decades, but freezer burn starts taking a toll on the tastiness. But, even modestly freezer burned beef can make good chilli.

It's safe to eat, but you won't want to.

Both basic truths.
The food will keep you alive, but won't be tasty or appetizing.
If you're handy with a gun and a knife... The second is a great option.
