Given that we are trying to find a less expensive solution using "generic" parts, some accommodations may need to be made. The only thing special about the OEM part is the tab for the connector. If you can stand doing so, you could remove the retaining tab from the plug and use a nylon tie wrap to add extra security for the plug. That's assuming the pinouts match the standard automotive Form C relay.
