He complained about millions of illegal aliens flowing into our country and living off welfare, contributing nothing, aided by our former socialist president. This was followed by a claim that Guilliani made NYC the safest nation in the world, but that crime rates under the socialist Bloomberg returned the city to 1970's crime levels (not per city-data.com). Despite a good, strong, amicable relationship, I came frighteningly close to suggesting that being raised in Italy under Mussolini has given him strong fascist tendencies. Nonetheless, I may have gone as overboard as he did - my recollections are a bit hazy, since the rapid-fire boIIocks aimed at my head gave me a concussion. Which was odd, b/c I had them both pegged as dyed in the wool conservatives. Turns out my Uncle has become more liberal in his old age. And my cousin-in-law. Well, he's the type that makes sure his tank is full when he drives into California. You know. Just in case he's got to make a quick getaway. |
