I hate to be that guy, but we're all going to 'get' Covid-19 as sure as we're all going to 'get' influenza from time to time. What we can hope is that treatment options are developed/confirmed as effective, a vaccine regimen can be developed (18 months minimum before deployment), and that America gets better at slowing down transmission by improving public hygiene and protecting vulnerable populations.

Amen. This is the clearest statement of truth I have seen wrt the virus. This is what the CDC should be saying. This is what we should be telling our friends and family.

Filling the humidifier's reservoir with pure bleach as we speak.

This stuff is a better option
https://www.purebio.com/technology/silver-dihydrogen-citrate-sdc.htm

They use this to sanitize cruise ships, planes, trains, shipping containers etc. They atomize and mist the stuff into the room and sustain it for a few minutes and it's done. It's just Silver Dihydrogen Citrate....
I think silver ions make a good antibacterial, but coronavirus is a, well, virus. It kills viruses too. It kills them well.

It takes about 30-60 seconds to kill most viruses. I noticed that this companies web store is down, they've pulled their products off of Amazon's website and on their most recent earnings call they mentioned that they were in discussions with Chinese officials to provide products and services for disinfection. I suspect China wrote them a fat check and said "send us all you can make".

Here's the TDS for their sanitizer.

Hmmm... John Hopkins has the new unknown diagnosis listed as being in Yolo, not Solano as mentioned on the news last night. I guess that's because the diagnosis/patient was at UC Davis med center?

I think I may re-read Stephen King's The Stand or Frank Hebert's The White Plague again this weekend.

Or re-watch the end credits of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

If I had written the subject line it would have been, "Ugh! First case of person-to-person transmission in the US is within 100mi of me!!"

Or re-watch Contagion. The situation is eerily similar. https://thehill.com/changing-america/well-being/prevention-cures/481652-what-does-the-movie-contagion-tell-us-about
