Beards are made of hair.

Save your money. Condition it along with the top-of-your-head hair when you shower.

Yes just shave it. Mine also itches after a week, so then it goes. Gone! It feels better, looks better, my wife likes it better.

True. Also "Beard Oil", which sounds kind of gross to me but then I have a natural aversion to things that feel oily or greasy.

What I would do if I had a case of "itchy beard" is this: Get some good old fashioned creme rinse conditioner, wash my face including my beard in the shower, apply the creme rinse to my beard, wash the rest of me, then rinse out the creme rinse just before getting out of the shower so it has maximum time to work.

I haven't bought this brand in a while, but their creme rinse used to do a better-than-average job at a fair price and with a pleasant aroma- https://www.target.com/p/aussie-3-minute-miracle-moist-deep-conditioner-16-fl-oz/-/A-51113858

Edited to add: Back when I used Aussie products they were an independent brand, but they are now part of Proctor & Gamble.
