Re: Ughhh... anyone know of a good, free alternative to TeamViewer? - Markintosh - 12-12-2020 I have had very good luck with Messages screen sharing/remote control. I have never had to restart or had a glitch. it just works. And iMessage / Messages would be fine -- except I don't think he has an iCloud account, which I think he would need for that to work. Or at least if he does have an account, I have no idea what his user/pass is, or if he's logged into it on his machine. Re: Ughhh... anyone know of a good, free alternative to TeamViewer? - Mr Downtown - 12-14-2020 You might try Chrome Remote Desktop. I think you'll first have to tell him how to allow Chrome to install the extension on his end. Only problem I've had with that is that my desktop has two big monitors, so Chrome Remote Desktop puts them side by side on my laptop, very hard to navigate or read. That's probably not an issue for a guy still using a flipphone, though. Re: Ughhh... anyone know of a good, free alternative to TeamViewer? - decay - 12-14-2020 How about WebEx? We use it for work. It looks like screen sharing works on a free account. https://cart.webex.com/sign-up?locale=en_US |
