Oh, that's awesome. I kinda guessed the ability to run multiple monitors was there, just not polished enough somehow. It was hard to imagine Apple taking several steps backwards in video. Thank you for posting that -- something to read up on before bed!

Natively, yes. This is a ridiculous restriction and is the worst compromise of Apple silicon. They solved this for the M1 mini and should have done so tor the laptops.

You can add via DisplayLink tech, however.

This also threw me for a moment when the M1 Macs were announced, but it's nothing "solved" in the mini vs the laptops.

The chip can drive two displays. There's no built-in display on the mini so...
